9 Pulaski High School Students Expelled for Selling Drugs

PULASKI, Wis. (WFRV)--Ten former Pulaski high school students face charges for allegedly selling prescription drugs on school grounds, according to Pulaski police.
Nine students were expelled Thursday for selling a variety of pills to their classmates, most which are used to treat attention deficit disorder.
The tenth student involved was a former Pulaski student but had left the district prior to the expulsion.
Among the students involved are 7 freshmen, one sophomore, one junior, and a 17-year-old senior boy.
Pulaski Police Chief, Randal Dunford, said all the students face charges of selling a schedule two narcotic on school grounds.
Dunford said two of the freshmen are prescribed adderall and vyvense, which were among the pills allegedly being sold.
"We believe the medication was prescribed to them and instead of taking them they were saving it," he said.
According to Dunford, the school learned about the exchange after another student notified an administrator back in December.
That sparked an on-going investigation between the school and the High School Liaison Officer, James Tinlin.
Although police never witnessed the exchange of drugs nor did any of the students have the pills in their possession at the time they were taken into custody, Pulaski police say they gathered enough evidence during questioning to go forward with charges.
The 17-year-old senior will be charged as an adult.
The others will go through juvenile court.
