Just after midnight Sunday morning, two vehicles collided and came to rest on the overpass ramp of Highway 172 over Lime Kiln Road.
Two people who were not part of the wreck, rushed over to help the victims. While the two good Samaritan's were attempting to assist the victims, a third vehicle struck them and launched them over off the overpass. They both landed in the ditch on Lime Kiln Road. One received severe injuries while the other received non-life threatening injuries. Both were taken to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment.
Of the three other victims who were part of the initial crash, one was taken to Aurora for non-life threatening injuries. The other two were not injured.
Police are still investigating. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
