De PERE (WFRV) While the Packers missed out on Super Bowl 47, it doesn't mean fans have lost their appetite for the big game.

"It's one of the first holidays of the year. We've got our taco dip trays, cheese and sausage trays, spinach dip bread bowls. Everything you'd need for a great party," said Diane Beecroft, who works the deli at Festival Foods in De Pere.

"People come into the bakery department, want their goods fresh. So, we'll be ready for them on sunday and saturday." said Rick Teegarden, Festival Foods De Pere Store Manager.

Now even though the Packers aren't in Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans, it's very easy to let the good times and let the good food roll. But there are also some healthier ways to laissez les bon temps rouler.

Festival Foods is among the stores offering low-fat, low calorie options for game day fare that's super charged in taste.

"Guacamole can work really great as a dip for something like peppers, colored peppers, carrots, celery sticks," said Leah Anderson, Food Safety and Nutrition Manager for Festival Foods De Pere.

Even deli sections are showing that less filling foods can taste great.

"The lime and black bean dip is one of our top sellers and it's really delicious. Great for the Super Bowl. You can use it like a chip dip or a salad," Anderson added.

Local 5's Terry Kovarik has the story.
