YOUNGSTOWN, OH (Green Bay Gamblers) - The Green Bay Gambler defeated the Youngstown Phantoms 6-3 on Tuesday night at the Covelli Center in Youngstown, Iowa.  The Gamblers have a 2-1 lead in the best of 5 series.

Alex Broadhurst stole the show scoring a hat trick in the win on Tuesday night.  More impressive is the fact that all three goals were scored on the shorthand.  Broadhurst opened the scoring early in the first period at the 2:41 mark on the penalty kill. The Chicago Blackhawks draft pick then added a shorthanded goal in the 2nd period and the third period for the hat trick.

Broadhurst is the first player in USHL history to score three shorthanded goals in one game in the Clark Cup Playoffs.

Veterans C.J. Eick, Grant Arnold and first year forward Sheldon Dries also scored for the Gamblers in the victory.

Ryan McKay recorded the victory turning away 16 of 19 shots on goal.

The Gamblers and Phantoms will face-off for game 4 at the Covelli Center in Youngstown, Iowa tomorrow night. Face-off is set for 6:15pm.
