Greg Jennings signs with Minnesota Vikings

One of the most popular Packers players of the past decade, Greg Jennings, has signed a five-year contract with one of the Green and Gold's biggest rivals, the Minnesota Vikings.

Jennings had spent his entire seven-year career with Green Bay, who drafted him in the 2nd round out of Western Michigan in 2006.  Jennings blossomed into one of the premiere receivers in the game catching passes from Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, and had two TD receptions in the Packers' Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

2012 was Jennings' most trying season in Green Bay, however.  With his contract set to come to an end, Jennings missed several games due to an abdominal injury, and toward the end of the season, it started to become clear that he was playing his last games as a Packer.

Green Bay reportedly offered the 29-year old a contract extension during the season, but Jennings elected to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent, and agreed to a deal reportedly worth as much as $47.5 million over 5 years, with $18 million guaranteed.

Now, a few short years after Brett Favre's stunning move to the Vikings, Packers fans will have to see another former fan favorite wearing purple.
