Wisconsin and Marquette Moving On in NCAA Tournament

(WFRV)- Both teams in the state of Wisconsin have advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The #4 ranked Badgers defeated the #13 ranked Montana Grizzlies 73-49 at University Arena in Albuquerque. Ryan Evans scored 18 points and Jordan Taylor added 17 points and six assists for Wisconsin. The Badgers will face Vanderbilt in the next round of the East Regional on Saturday. Start time TBD.

The #3 ranked Golden Eagles of Marquette defeated the BYU Cougars 88-68 in Louisville, KY. Jae Crowder led all scorers with 25 points and 16 rebounds.

Marquette will face Murray State in Louisville on Saturday. Start time TBD

Local 5 sports will have highlights of both games tonight at 5 and 10 p.m.
