Coleman Wins D-4 State Baseball Championship

The Cougars then went on to score 16 unanswered runs in the final three innings to beat the Bluejays 20-11 in a rollercoaster contest. It's the first baseball state championship in team history for Coleman.
Coleman set WIAA D-4 records in walks (13), at-bats (36), hits (15), and runs scored (20).
Both teams committed seven errors in the game. Mitch Mergener was the winning pitcher for the Cougars despite allowing three runs in two innings.
Coleman's 9-hitter Trevor Seewald went 4-5 with three runs scored and 2 RBI. Mason Mergener was 2-5 and added 5 RBI for the Cougars who had five batters with double-digit hits and RBI.
