Ben Brust hit a buzzer-beating three pointer from just inside midcourt to send the Kohl Center into a frenzy and Wisconsin's game against #3 Michigan into overtime Saturday.
Then with 40 seconds left in the extra period, Brust hit the go-ahead triple leading the Badgers to a 65-62 upset win over the Wolverines.
Wisconsin has now defeated six of the last seven top-5 ranked opponents that they've played in Madison. The Badgers improve to 17-7 overall and 8-3 in the Big Ten, while Michigan falls to 21-3 and 8-3 in conference play.
Before Brust's heroics at the end of the second half, Michigan's Tim Hardaway Jr. hit a contested three to put the Wolverines up three with less than three seconds left.
Brust scored 14 points for the Badgers, while Berggren contributed 13 and eight rebounds. Sheboygan native Sam Dekker scored 12 points, while Ryan Evans finished with 11 points and nine rebounds.
