The Louisville Cardinals kept their incredible run through the month of March going on Saturday, defeating Florida, 72-68,in the west regional final to advance to the Final Four next week in New Orleans.

The Cardinals began their run by winning the Big East Tournament title in New York City, winning four games in four days to do so.  Then, after winning their first two NCAA Tournament games last weekend, Louisville knocked off #1 seed Michigan State in the regional semifinals on Thursday night, putting them up against the #7 seed Florida Gators, who defeated Marquette in the other semifinal.

The Gators had an 8 point lead at halftime, but led by Russ Smith, who scored 19 off the bench, the Cardinals rallied in the second half.  Louisivlle head coach Rick Pitino is now the 3rd head coach to lead teams to the Final Four in four different decades.  He took Providence there in 1987, led Kentucky to 3 Final Fours in the '90s, and Louisville to their last trip in 2005.

Local 5 is your home for the Final Four, which takes place Saturday and Monday at the Superdome in New Orleans.
