The Packers released the official announcement Sunday afternoon, but Cedric Benson sported a Green Bay jersey for the first time on Monday, wearing #32. Benson was not in full pads in accordance to the new CBA and practice regulations for new signees. He will not play in the Packers preseason game Thursday against Cleveland.

Benson enters his 8th year in the NFL, having played for Chicago and most recently in Cincinnati. During his time in the league, he's played 91 games and rushed for 5,769 yards and 31 touchdowns. Benson has rushed for 1,000+ yards the past three seasons.
