The Packers first night practice was met with mixed reviews.  Fans loved it. And people were waiting 4 and 5 rows deep outside of Ray Nitschke field just to get in and see the team practice.  Despite the cooler temperatures, moving from morning to evening stretches out the day for players and coaches and Mike McCarthy wasnt too pleased with the way his team performed.  His biggest beefs were the pre-snap penalties and sluggish start in terms of tempo.  The offense had a false start on the very first play in the team session, which didnt set the tone to McCarthy's standards.

The offense did have its share of big plays with Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson going deep against the defense a few times.  Erik Walden had the big hit of the night laying out WR Dale Ross on a short crossing route, and there was one small skirmish after the defense had a facemask.  It was more of a base-"brawl"....alot of pushing and shoving and not much punching.   The Packers host their annual scrimmage at Lambeau Field on Friday night.
