The weather cooperated, and fans were treated to a full Packers Family Night on Friday.
Over 55,000 Packer fans were ready to cheer on the Green and Gold at Lambeau Field for the team's annual intersquad scrimmage. The 1st-team offense scored a pair of touchdowns, and had a blast celebrating them. After James Starks took a handoff from Aaron Rodgers and ran into the end zone, the entire offensive unit (line and all) did a "Lambeau Leap" into the stands. NFL replacement officials actually flagged the offense for excessive celebration, drawing plenty of boos from the crowd.
Overall, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said he was pleased with the team's work, although he was disappointed at 7 pre-snap penalties.
The Packers will return to the practice field Sunday night at7:00. Local 5 will recap that practice, and have features on the team Sunday night at 10:35 on Scheels Sports Xtra.
