Former Notre Dame Academy star Lauren Sesslemann will retun from London with a bronze medal as a member of the Canadian womens' soccer team.

Sesslemann's father was born in Canada, which allowed her to become a member of the country's national team.  She was part of Canada's gold medal winning team at last year's Pan American Games.

Tuesday, Canada lost a hard-fought 4-3 contest to the United States in the semifinals.  Thursday, they defeated France 1-0 in the bronze medal game.

The United States team captured the gold medal with a 2-1 win over Japan on Thursday.
