Matthews Out, Jennings Questionable for Sunday Night

By: Ryan Rodig
Updated: November 23, 2012
The Packers ruled out OLB Clay Matthews for Sunday night's game vs. the New York Giants after their best pass rusher failed to practice all week with an injured hamstring.

The Packers also announced that CB Sam Shields (ankle), DB Charles Woodson (collarbone), and LB Terrell Manning (shoulder) will miss the game.

The good news for Green Bay is WR Greg Jennings (groin/abdomen) has made it through a week of work without an setbacks and is listed as questionable.  Earlier in the week Head Coach Mike McCarthy categorized his receiver's status as "a long shot" to play, while Jennings remained optimistic.

Friday, McCarthy provided an update.

"He feels real good coming off practice yesterday," McCarthy said. "He wanted to work today. We said we'd sit down tomorrow and talk to Dr. McKenzie, and just see how he's feeling. The one concern is durability. That's the last hurdle we need to get over."
