Phoenix hand Marquette loss in first trip to Green Bay

Led by Kiefer Sykes' game-high 20 points, the Green Bay Phoenix beat Marquette 49-47 Wednesday night in the Golden Eagles' first trip to the Resch Center.

The win was a confidence booster for Green Bay (4-7) who had lost 7 of 8 entering the night. 

The victory gave Phoenix Head Coach Brian Wardle his first win against his alma mater.

The win is only the third in 12  lifetime meetings versus MU.

Greg Mays added 11 points and five rebounds for Green Bay, while Jamil Wilson paced Marquette with 16 points.
