Gamblers Fall in Home Finale to Waterloo

GREEN BAY (Green Bay Gamblers) - The Waterloo Black Hawks defeated the Green Bay Gamblers 5-3 Saturday night at the Resch Center. The Gamblers are still closing in on the most points and a tie for most wins for a pair of regular season records with just 2 more games remaining in the regular season. With 3 more points and 2 remaining games to clinch wins, the Gamblers can break the point's record and tie the wins record currently held by the Des Moines Buccaneers 1998-99 season.
Sam Herr scored on the powerplay in front of the net from a good look out pass by Markus Lauridsen to tie the game 3-3 in the second period. The Notre Dame recruit has 7 goals in 6 games and scored his 30th goal of the season.
Sheldon Dries scored the first giving the Gamblers a 1-0 lead scoring 2 goals in the last 2 games. The Western Michigan recruit scored his 18th goal overall.
Nicholas Schilkey scored late in the first period scoring his 2nd goal in 2 games. The Ohio State recruit now has 16 goals this season.
Goalie Ryan McKay had 24 saves on 29 shots between the pipes . The Miami of Ohio recruit has a record of 26-5-3.
