Big Night for Braun

It was a "Giant" night in Kansas City for the mid-summer classic, but the Brewers Ryan Braun did his share to help the National League rout the American League 8-0 in the MLB All-Star game. Pablo Sandoval hit the first bases loaded triple in All-Star game history while Melky Cabrera scored on a Braun double in the first inning. Cabrera then followed that up with a two run home run in the 4th inning that gave the NL a lead that was never challenged. Milwaukee's MVP finished the night 2-3, with one RBI and one run, but Braun made two great plays in the 4th inning on both sides the field. Following Cabrera's home run, the Brewers outfield had a triple to right field and then later robbed his former teammate Prince Fielder of an extra bases hit in left field. The victory marked the third straight win for the National League, following a streak where they had lost 12 of 13 to the American League.
