Saints beat Lions, Packers will host Falcons or Giants Next Week

By: Nick Goddard
Updated: January 31, 2012

The Green Bay Packers will host either the New York Giants or Atlanta Falcons next Sunday in the NFC Divisional Playoffs, after the Saints defeated the Lions Saturday night.

Had Detroit won tonight, they would have traveled to Lambeau Field next Sunday, but after having a 14-10 lead in the Superdome, the Lions surrendered 35 points to New Orleans before falling 45-28.

Drew Brees threw for 466 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Saints, who will now travel to San Francisco next Saturday in the Divisional round of the playoffs.

The Giants host the Falcons Sunday at noon, with the winner of the contest heading to Green Bay on January 15th at 3:30 P. M.
