It is the biggest change to the way we cast our ballots here in thd Badger State since the voting age was dropped to 18.
Tuesday, February 21 voters will head to the polls for primary elections and the Sheboygan mayoral recall. But to get their ballot, they will be required for the first time to show photo identification.
It is the government's way of cracking down on voter fraud.
The nine acceptable forms of I.D. include a Wisconsin drivers license, passport, military I.D. or student I.D. if it meets certain requirements.
If you do not have proper identification you can head to your local DMV office and ask for a free Wisconsin State I.D. card before heading to the polls.
