TOWN OF EATON, Wis. (WFRV) -- A local fire department is raising money for new equipment.

The Denmark Fire Department is a volunteer force.

They contract out to four townships, plus the Village of Denmark.

Crews cover 99 square miles.

To protect firefighters the right equipment is key, but there is a major cost. Each set of gear can be $7,000.

To raise money for gear the department is hosting a bowling tournament next Saturday and Sunday at CZ's Bushville Lanes, 2280 S. Sugar Bush Road, Luxemburg, Wisconsin.

Saturday is a 9 pin tournament, Sunday is Scotch Doubles.

There will be a polka band at 1:00 pm on Sunday, with free admission.

For more information call 920-863-6231.
