Updated: February 14, 2012
GREEN BAY (Green Bay Packers) - Green Bay Packers President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Murphy has been named to the NFL Competition Committee by Commissioner Roger Goodell, the NFL announced Tuesday.

Murphy, the Packers' President and Chief Executive Officer since 2008, played eight seasons as a defensive back with the Washington Redskins from 1977-84, including two Super Bowl appearances and a selection to the Pro Bowl following the 1983 season.
