The MAC Champion Bobcats, just the 7th team seeded 13th or lower to advance to the sweet 16, fell behind by double digits in the first half, only to storm back in the second, eventually taking the lead. Walter Offut led the Bobcats with 26 points, but couldn't make a free throw to complete a three point play with 25 seconds remaining, which would have given Ohio a one-point lead.
The Bobcats went cold in overtime, however, scoring only on 2 free throws, as the Tar Heels pulled out a 73-65 victory. Tyler Zeller led North Carolina with 20 points and 23 rebounds. UNC will face either N.C. State or Kansas on Sunday afternoon for a trip to the Final Four in New Orleans.
