5 Area Teams to play for Girls Basketball State Championships

Thursday, in Division 4, Oshkosh Lourdes defeated defending state champion Eau Claire Regis, 70-63 in overtime. The Knights will face 27-0 Neillsville in the title game.
In Division 3 on Friday, Kewaunee advanced to their second straight championship game. The Storm defeated Barron, 38-18. Next up for Kewaunee is Oostburg. The Flying Dutchmen are in their 6th consecutive state tournament, and will play for the title after beating East Troy 54-38.
The unbeaten New London Bulldogs are a win away from repeating as Division 2 champions, using a strong second half to defeat the Notre Dame Tritons, 52-34. The Bulldogs will face New Berlin Eisenhower Saturday evening in a matchup of 27-0 teams.
In Division 1, De Pere won another matchup of area teams, defeating Oshkosh West 49-37 on Friday night. The Redbirds will face Milwaukee King in the D-1 title game.
