APPLETON, Wis (WFRV) GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney made a stop at Lawrence University in Appleton Friday.

Romney told those in attendance  why he's better than President Obama, in a speech that sounded more targeted to the general election than the GOP primary.

Romney says many Americans have given up on Obama, but not the country.

The former Massachusetts governor says since Obama became president, 800,000 Americans have lost their jobs and new business start ups are at the lowest level in thirty years.

Romney says he does not blame the president for the recession, but says he has not done a good job in its recovery.

Wisconsin's Presidential primary is April 3rd
