One hurt in Green Bay fire

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) -- One person was taken to the hospital following a fire at an east side Green Bay early Thursday morning.
When firefighters responded to the home in the 500 block of North Baird Street just before 4 a.m., they found heavy black smoke coming from a window of the multi-family home.
A first floor resident is currently being treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire was contained to one room of the lower level but there was heavy smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.
As a result, six other people living within the building are not being allowed back in at this time.
