Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, can now get help in the palm of their hands.

The Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs have teamed up to create a free iPhone app to help veterans cope with this disorder.

It's called the PTSD Coach. It helps veterans manage stress, access care and, doctors hope, break through the stigma some veterans say comes with PTSD.

The Defense Department has also developed other smartphone apps, and there are more to come.

For more information, check out the National Center for Telehealth and Technology website here.
