GREEN BAY (Green Bay Bullfrogs) - Bryce Bellin struck out five batters and gave up just two hits in seven innings of work Tuesday night, and the 'Frogs defeated the Madison Mallards 5-0 for their third consecutive victory.

The game was a fast-paced pitcher's duel early on. Green Bay starter Bryce Bellin, a Kimberly native, gave up just two hits in his first four innings of work. The Mallards' starter, Trevor Foss, was perfect through four innings.

Foss retired thirteen consecutive 'Frogs to begin the ballgame, but it was the fourteenth who official broke things open for Green Bay. David Armendariz hit his first home run as a Bullfrog, a solo shot to right field to give Green Bay a 1-0 lead in the fourth.

Two more runs came across later in the fourth. Mike Fischer and Brooks Orton each drove in a run with a single. Collin Shaw and Alex Abrams scored on the hits.

Green Bay added two more in the seventh inning to finish off the scoring. Nick Stein had a one-run double, driving in Alex Abrams, and Clayton Eslick drove home Jason McMurray on a single.

Bryce Bellin (1-2) earned his first victory of the season. He gave up no runs on just two hits in seven innings of work, striking out five and walking just one. Mac Acker finished off the game in with a scoreless eighth and ninth.

Green Bay had five players each with one RBI: Armendariz, Fischer, Orton, Stein and Eslick.

Green Bay travels to Madison tomorrow to take on the Mallards for the third and final game of the series. Green Bay is looking for its first three game sweep of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 from Warner Park.
