Brewers beat Cubs

By: Burke Griffin
Updated: August 20, 2012

For two teams that are a distant thought in the NL Central at this point, the Brewers and Cubs drew a solid crowd at Miller Park on Monday night.  Almost 30,000 fans were on hand as Milwaukee broke the game open in the 5th inning by scoring eight runs and belting a total of 14 hits in the contest.  Jonathon Lucroy led the way with a pair of home runs and was 2-3 with 4 RBI. Norichika Aoki was also 3-4 while starting pitcher Mark Rogers allowed three runs over five innings while striking out seven.  The bullpen ended up using five different pitchers to close out the contest.
