De Pere, Wis.(WFRV)--Jack de Moulin, "As far as the VA  is concerned, none of this is service connected."
Local Five introduced you to Jack DeMoulin of De Pere just before the fiftieth anniversary of D-Day. This WWII veteran faced his biggest battle back home.
Said Jack, "My hands are numb,  my feet are numb,  my total body is numb. I was sterile from it."
De Moulin served in the Navy during WWII. He was attached to the seaplane tender USS Orca, which was deployed to Bikini Atoll in 1946 for Operation Crossroads.
Local Five's Terry Kovarik shares the story of this Hometown Hero.
