Battle On Bago

OSHKOSH (WFRV) - The 6th Annual Battle On Bago was held Saturday at Menominee Park in Oshkosh. Just under 4,000 tickets were sold for the event. That's about a thousand more then last year.
Five hundred fishermen fought for their share of $130,000 in cash and prizes at the fishing tournament. Winners were determined based on the weight of the fish. We found fishermen bringing in walleye, panfish and whitebass -- just to name a few fish.
However, first place for the biggest fish doesn't necessarily win the best prizes such as big cash or boats worth tens of thousands of dollars. The two boats given away were worth $30,000 and $24,000.
Fishermen tell Local 5 they love this event because you never know who will get what.
