GREEN BAY, Wis (WFRV)-   We have some exciting changes to tell you about. Starting today, WFRV-TV Channel 5 and WJMN Channel 3 are under new ownership.  We are now the latest station to join Nexstar Broadcasting.

We also welcomed our new Vice President and General Manager, Joe Denk. He's a Wisconsin native who has worked in television broadcasting his entire career.  His most recent position within the nexstar group was as general manager in rockford, illinois.

I asked our new GM to share what the new ownership means for you the viewer.

Joe Denk, WFRV & WJMN Vice President & GM:  "The company has a commitment to the viewers and the communities we serve.  We will find as many interesting ways as we can to build and enhance on the already great legacy that's been established by all the predecessors here in this market."

And another exciting change you've probably already noticed.  We've launched a brand new website, and we're inviting you to check it out.

WeAreGreenBay.com will be a community portal for people in Northeast Wisconsin. There you can get all your news, weather and sports along with some special new features to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Most of your favorite Channel 5 features are still there along with great new additions.  Soon to come: new mobile apps for those who want their news on the go.
