Program aims to stop repeat OWI offenders

BROWN COUNTY (WFRV) - Safe Streets Treatment Option Program or SSTOP is becoming a success.
It is a program aiming to cut down on repeat drunk driving offenders.
Winnebago County officials are heralding SSTOP.
Treatment includes one year probation, community service and a drunk driving victim impact panel.
Now, as part of Wisconsin's new drunk driving law changes, counties statewide can choose to participate.
Brown County, Door County, Outagamie County and Manitowoc County are all taking a look at the program.
