A registered sex offender charged with felony stalking after allegedly following a woman near the UWGB campus last winter failed to appear in court this morning.
47-year old Allen Umentum's trial was to begin this morning, but was delayed after Umentum failed to appear in court.
At 11am, De Pere Police issued a press release, asking for the public's assistance in locating Umentum.
He is described as 5' 10" tall, and approximately 210 pounds. Police believe he may be driving a green Dodge Dakota truck, with a license plate of 866049.
Anyone with knowledge of Umentum's location is asked to contact their local police department, or call Crime Stoppers at 432-7867.
Authorities accuse Umentum of following a woman near the UW-Green Bay campus last December. He's charged with felony stalking and faces more than three years in prison. Umentum was also convicted in 2008 on two counts of invasion of privacy after he peeped into the female dorms at UW-Oshkosh and spied on women as they showered. He was sentenced to nine months in jail for those crimes.
Also, Umentum is accused of showing up at a De Pere tanning salon and forcing himself into the tanning area. He faced two misdemeanor charges in that case.
