A 73-year old Greenleaf man is dead following a collision between his bicycle and a Ford F250 truck on Highway 96 Tuesday morning.
The Brown County Sheriff's Department says the accident took place at the intersection of Blake Road and Highway 96 in the Town of Wrightstown.
At 7:20am Tuesday morning, 73-year old Reinhold Herzog of Greenleaf was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a 2008 Ford F250 truck driven by a 38-year old Greenleaf man. The truck was reportedly turning onto Blake Road when the accident occurred.
Herzog was airlifted from the scene by Eagle III helicopter to an area hospital. Officials say Herzog died from injuries sustained in the accident at 11:20pm Tuesday evening.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has reconstruction specialists working to determine the cause of the crash.
