The entertainment website TMZ.com reports her celebrity lawyer, Robert Shapiro, the man made famous for his role on the OJ Simpson dream team, abruptly quit after just a few days on the job.
Another celebrity attorney has a theory that it was a publicity stunt by the lawyer since she already agreed to do jail time and rehab and that she didn't need a new lawyer.
Lohan spent her final days as a free woman inside a sober house founded by Shapiro. Soon she'll call the Lynwood Correctional Facility home, and she won't be the first famous face to spend time behind bars here.
Other young starlets including Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have done time at this prison, and Lohan has actually been here before.
In 2007 she spent 84 minutes behind bars after a d-u-i arrest.
Now Lohan's been sentenced to 90 days but she is expected to serve only about three weeks because of overcrowding.
The 25-year old has slid from once promising actress to convict.

In her last court appearance the once fresh-faced starlit looked well beyond her 24 years when she tried to convince the judge she was taking her alcohol education classes seriously.
Lohan said in court that she's not taking this as a joke.
Although many believe her career has completely stalled out until she can clean up her act.
