Six Packers, and Green Bay's coaching staff, all took part in the Pro Bowl Sunday night in Honolulu, Hawaii. The AFC won the contest, 59-41 in the highest-scoring Pro Bowl in history.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the starting quarterback for the NFC. He played the first quarter, completing 13 of 17 passes for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns, both thrown to Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals.
Wide receiver Greg Jennings played in his first Pro Bowl Sunday. He had been selected to last year's game but didn't play due to the Packers making the Super Bowl. Jennings had 5 receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown.
Linebacker Clay Matthews intercepted a Ben Roethlisberger pass in the first quarter of the game. Center Scott Wells and defensive lineman B. J. Raji also participated in the game.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy served as head coach for the NFC, assisted by his Green Bay coaching staff. Quarterbacks coach Tom Clements called the plays for the NFC. Clements is considered a strong candidate to replace Joe Philbin as the Packers new offensive coordinator. Philbin was hired as head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
