Brewers Pitchers and Catchers Begin Spring Training

"The" issue is casting a fairly large shadow, and that issue is the status of Ryan Braun.
By now, the reigning National League MVP's offseason has been weel documented. A reported positive drug test, a possible 50 game suspension, followed by Braun's appeal.
There has not been any word of a verdict from the three man arbitration panel regarding Braun's situation.
The Brewers thought it would have one by now, and with the first full-squad workout scheduled for Saturday, it's expective something in the next few days.
Monday, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said he spoke with Braun, who told him he would be in camp on Saturday. Even if he is suspended, Braun will still be allowed to participate in spring training workouts and games.
