By: Nick Goddard
Updated: March 18, 2012
The North Carolina State Wolfpack are headed to the Sweet 16, following a 66-63 victory over Georgetown on Sunday afternoon in the 3rd round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Wolfpack (24-12) will play in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2005, when they lost to the Wisconsin Badgers in a regional semifinal.

N. C. State, led by first year head coach Mark Gottfried, will face either #2 seed Kansas or #10 seed Purdue in the Midwest Regional Semifinals on Friday night at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.
