Large grass fire on I-43 in Howard extinguished

Howard, Wis. (WFRV) Interstate 43 is back open after a grass fire closed the highway for a short time Tuesday afternoon in Howard.
Several area fire departments battled the blaze that sent smoke across the lanes of traffic on I-43 and U.S. HWY 41.
As a precaution the Brown County Sheriff's Department closed a portion of the highway and streets in the area.
