Tuesday voters in the Oshkosh School District overwhelmingly approved a measure to spend $13 million to build a new elemetnary school.
Nearly 70% of voters said yes to the referendum.
The district has tried three times since 2001 to get voters to spend the money for a new school.
Oaklawn has been in dire need to repair for years. The school was build over 50 years ago and was only meant to be a temporary facility.
