Craig Counsell retired from Major League Baseball as a player after last season, but he's enjoying his new role with the Brewers organization. The 15 year veteran played for 5 teams during his career, including two stints with Milwaukee and Arizona, but now he finds himself in a different postion heading into opening day. Counsell is an assistant to GM Doug Melvin and has been part of the Brewers management team for spring training. Counsell was in Appleton Wednesday night for the Timber Rattlers Leadoff Experience banquet and he thinks that the Brewers have a chance to make another run at the postseason despite losing longtime slugger Prince Fielder.
