Gamblers Break Franchise Record with 46th Win

The Green Bay Gamblers set a franchise record surpassing the Gamblers 2009-10 season for having the most wins in franchise history with their 46th regular season win 7-3 over the Muskegon Lumberjacks Friday night at the Resch Center.
The Gamblers are also on their way to break the most points and wins record in a regular season. With 3 regular season games remaining, the Gamblers are just 2 points and 2 wins away from becoming the record holder which is currently held by the Des Moines Buccaneers 1998-99 season.
Leading scorer Nolan LaPorte scored a couple of goals in the second period of the contest. First scoring an early goal and tying the game at 3-3 at the 0:14 mark and second scoring the tie breaking goal to give the Gamblers a 4-3 lead going into the third period. The Western Michigan recruit now has 34 goals this season.
Kyle Novak scored a pair of goals scoring the first goal for the Gamblers while being knocked down on the ice and earning the last goal of the game. The Western Michigan recruit now has 17 goals this season.
Sam Herr scored in the third period and earned his 6th goal in the last 5 games. The Notre Dame recruit scored his 29th goal on the season.
Alex Broadhurst earned his 100th point in the match up as a Gambler and with 4 assists in a row has a total of 102 points.
Also, scoring for the Gamblers was Nicholas Schilkey scoring his 15th goal this season, and Sheldon Dries scoring his 17th overall.
Goalie Ryan McKay clinched the win between the pipes with 26 saves on 29 shots. The Miami of Ohio recruit has a record of 26-4-3.
