MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) Menasha Police are dedicating an officer's entire shift to cracking down on speeding.  It's part of a new, unique program in Twin Cities.

We rode along with Officer Roger Picard.  He's in charge of the department's new Community Traffic Safety program.  Picard takes phone calls and e-mails from citizens concerned about speeding in their neighborhoods, and follows up on each one.  He'll run radar and call residents back to let them know what he found.

The program only started last month.  So far, more than a dozen complaints have come in.  You're asked to call (920) 967-3575 or e-mail trafficissue@ci.menasha.wi.us if you'd like Picard to investigate an issue in your neighborhood.  Questions about the program can also be directed to Chief Styka or Officer Picard at (920) 967-3500.

Local 5's Bret Lemoine will have reaction from a citizen who took action on our 10PM newscast.
