Drug abuse in Winnebago County is up

OSHKOSH, Wis (WFRV) - Winnebago County authorities are addressing drug abuse concerns. According to law enforcement, the drug of choice has gone from crack cocaine to heroin. There have been 9 drug related deaths so far in 2012 and 24 in 2011. There were also 130 near deaths last year. Heroin in the area has been traced back to Columbia and its touching the lives of many directly and indirectly.
