Ashwaubenon-Hobart (WFRV) A man is behind bars tonight following a four and a half hour standoff with several Law Enforcement agencies.
According to Ashwaubenon Public Safety, at 10 o'clock Saturday morning a woman called 9-1-1 to report a male with a gun was at her home.
She said the man is an ex-boyfriend and was at her front door in the 1100 block of Echo Lane in Ashwaubenon. She said he then left.
Information was given that he was on the run- a fugitive on parole. An attempt to locate was sent out to surrounding agencies.
Oneida Police spotted the suspect's vehicle a half hour later on the Oneida Reservation at Commissioner Street and Elm Street. Police secured the perimeter.
The Brown-Outagamie Bomb Squad was called in and a robot was deployed. The robot operator could see the handgun on the video monitor.
Negotiators attempted to get the suspect to surrender. He then drove over stop sticks and maneuvered to a nearby location.
The suspect eventually surrendered. A handgun, shotgun and ammunition was recovered.
No one was hurt. Officials say several charges are expected.
