Oshkosh, Wis.(WFRV)--Oshkosh Police have identified the 52-year-old man who drowned yesterday in the Fox River.
They say Steven Macadam jumped from the Main Street bridge to take a swim, which he's been seen doing before.
But, this time, on his way back to shore, Macadam went under water and never came back up.
Officer Joseph Nichols, Oshkosh PD, "With the current so strong in the Fox River at times you never know. There is floating debris in the river that can entrap you and pull you down.. so its something you don't want to try."
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the drowning.
