Victim Identified in Amish Buggy Crash

SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Shawano County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the man flown by Eagle III to a Green Bay hospital after a serious buggy crash.
The accident occurred on Sunday on STH 45 near Gollnow Road in the Township of Grant. Marion police responded to the scene and upon arrival, an overtuned buggy was found in the ditch.
Officers were told the horse pulling the buggy became spooked and bolted towards the ditch. The wheel of the buggy was torn off, causing the buggy to overturn.
There were six people in the buggy, two of the occupants were injured.
A woman was treated and released at the scene. The man, who has now been identified as Issac Hersherger, 49, was flown by helicopter. An update on his condition has not yet been released.
