Oshkosh, Wis. (WFRV) -- There are new details from a deadly accident that happened on the Butte des Morts Bridge in Oshkosh.
Local 5 has obtained the 911 calls and new images from the scene of the crane collapse.
35 year old Joseph Bidler was killed on July 5th when a crane collapsed and fell on him in a construction zone on the bridge. Another crew member was seriously injured.
Safety Officer Jason Konrad made the initial call to the Winnebago County 911 Center.
He directed responders to the site, where victims were lying on the bridge and on a floating barge below.
Here is a transcript of the 911 call:
Konrad: "We had a crane collapse on the 41 causeway bridge. We're going to need ambulances, several of them. Right now, as it looks, we're going to need at least two for crushing injuries. The best way to get into us is to come into the causeway heading south bound on 41."
911 Dispatcher: "Do you know how many people are injured?"
Konrad: "We've got one severe head trauma from a crushing injury right now. He is going to need immediate attention."
Local 5 has also received several images from the crash scene.
OSHA is investigating the two construction companies in charge of the construction zones. They have six months to complete their reports.
