Packers CB House Out At Least 2-3 Weeks

By: Ryan Rodig
Updated: August 11, 2012

The Packers received slight better injury news with CB Davon House than they did with LB Desmond Bishop.

According to Head Coach Mike McCarthy, House suffered a dislocated shoulder and will miss at least 2-3 weeks before being re-evaluated.

House will begin rehabilitation and a decision will be made at that time whether he can return to the field with a harness or if the shoulder will need surgery.

"He's very eager to get after the rehab," McCarthy said Saturday after practice. "The option of playing with a harness and potential surgery is really what we're looking at. There's a lot of history with this particular injury that we've had here, but every one of them is a different scenario."

McCarthy added it is not ideal for a defensive back to play with a harness.

21 players missed practice Saturday.  Among the new notable injuries are rookie DT Jerel Worthy (day-to-day, shoulder) and James Starks (turf toe).

McCarthy was asked about the reports of Cedric Benson signing with Green Bay, but declined to comment "until something occurs."
