The Packers finished the preseason with a 24-3 win over Kansas City at Lambeau Field on Thursday night and it was a solid night for quarterback Graham Harrell. Green Bay's backup to Aaron Rodgers was 13 of 15 passing for 223 yards with 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions against the Chiefs. Harrell led the Packers on touchdown scoring drives of 80, 93, and 77 yards, after Rodgers left the game following just two series on the field. Alex Green capped off Green Bay's first scoring drive with a two yard TD run, and then found the goal line again near the end of the first half, after a well executed 17 yard screen pass. Harrell opened up the 3rd quarter with a systematic drive down the field, ending with a 12 yard touchdown pass to rookie Jarrett Boykin, who led the Packers with 5 receptions for 82 yards. Sam Shields stymied a Chiefs drive that went all the way down to the five yard line, by picking off a Brady Quinn pass in the end zone. Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson have until 8:00 pm on Friday night to reduce their roster to the league mandate of 53 players.
